It’s very early and the sample size is still small…
…but I’m already seeing a pattern with a major Optic chase card that could quietly wreck grading profits if you’re not careful.
And here’s the twist:
✅ One of the headline chases has an issue that shows up fast if you know what to look for.
✅ Another insert most people aren’t talking about might be coming out way cleaner.
That’s how grading edges are born.
Not from “what’s the hottest card”…
From what’s the easiest card to GEM.
I gave Premium members the exact thing I’m watching for, and how I’m judging it consistently (so they don’t talk themselves into grading a card that never had a chance).
🧊 The #1 rule right now: Sell early, don’t grade early
If you’re ripping Optic or hitting in breaks:
✅ Sell your big hits ASAP.
Early release pricing is when singles are usually at their highest because:
everyone wants the first comps
everyone wants to flex the first big hit
and supply hasn’t flooded the market yet
Then the same thing happens almost every release:
prices cool as more product gets ripped and more listings hit eBay.
So unless you enjoy donating profit to the hype cycle…
Sell early. Buy later.
⏳ When do we start buying singles to grade?
Not yet.
My rule is the same:
✅ Wait 6–8 weeks after release before buying singles to grade.
That’s when:
prices stabilize
comps become real
and the “first week tax” disappears
And most importantly…
that’s when we start getting early gem-rate signals.
